Employee Charitable Interests

Dress Down Days

Since April 2007, at DP World Southampton, every Friday is given over to a Dress Down Day, with employees being asked to contribute £1 to the charity of the month, which is also nominated by employees.  At the end of the month, whatever amount the employees raise is matched by a donation from the company. 

 

2008

The total amount raised and presented to charities elected by employees for 2008 was over £2,500.

The charities supported so far are:

2007

The total amount raised and presented to charities selected by employees for 2007 was £3,252.70. 

The charities supported were:

  • National Autistic Society
  • Hampshire & IOW Air Ambulance
  • BMF Foundation
  • SILA
  • Jeans for Genes
  • Cancer Research UK

Employee Nominated Charities

Every year DP World Southampton set a sum aside to donate to charities which are nominated by its employees. 

For 2009 the following charities have been supported:
