DP World Southampton Celebrates International Standards

DP World Southampton is celebrating achieving two globally recognised standards in occupational health and safety and the environment.

The company has been certified to OHSAS 18001, the occupational health and safety management standard, and ISO 14001, the environmental management standard, by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA).

During the final stage of the certification process, LRQA auditors spent a week at the container terminal assessing and verifying that DP World Southampton's management in occupational health and safety and the environment meets or surpasses international standards.

Campbell Mason, Managing Director, DP World Southampton, said:

“Gaining these two international standards is very pleasing for DP World Southampton’s employees, customers and suppliers.  The achievement of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 certification, by independent assessors, reflects our commitment to meeting the highest standards in the all-important area of occupational health and safety and to operating in an environmentally responsible manner.”
