By integrating computer and mechanised technologies to maximise the throughput of the facilities on the quayside, DP World Southampton is able to meet the expectations of the deep-sea, short-sea and feeder operators.

DP World Southampton is a deep water port whose unique ‘double tide’ provides up to 80% accessibility for vessels of 13.0m draft which includes many of today’s largest containerships with capacities in the 6,500 to 8,500 TEU range.

1,350 metres of quay dredged up to 15m below chart datum, utilising 10 post-panamax gantry cranes with enhanced crane performance, enables DP World Southampton to deliver efficient services to most of the largest container ships in the world.

The terminal has an additional berth of 150 metres in length which is serviced by a dedicated 100-tonne mobile harbour crane and accommodates feeder vessels.
