Working in an environment of sustainable productivity and the delivering of services to both our internal and external customers, we strive to achieve a safe working environment.
DP World Southampton employs many talented individuals who we are proud to support and deliver the high standard of service and quality expected within the industry.
The terminal currently employs approximately 570 employees and uses around 250 permanently assigned contract stevedores to support our growing business.
DP World Southampton is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marital status, religion or belief.
All our current vacancies are listed on the DP World Southampton careers portal.
In the past we have stored speculative vacancies for roles that may come up in the future. Unfortunately it was very difficult to match the individual to the roles that arose so like many other employers in this digital age, we have reviewed this policy and we will no longer retain speculative applications and will only accept online applications for our current published vacancies. We will no longer accept paper application forms or CVs.
Please keep an eye out on this Careers webpage for vacancies.

Any Issues Applying:

To support the terminal’s growth, DP World Southampton needs a team of highly skilled engineering technicians to solve the challenges that arise as a result of a wide range of complex mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment.
To meet this need, every year, DP World Southampton recruits two engineering apprentices and supports them through a four year Level Three Apprenticeship in Engineering Maintenance to attain full combined electrical and mechanical status.
From our apprentices we are looking for a natural ability in craft skills, someone who enjoys a challenge and who has achieved / expects to achieve 5 GCSEs, grade C/4 or above including English, Maths and at least one Science.
If you would like to find out more about our Apprenticeship please come along to one of Seta’s Open Evenings, where you can ask any questions you have, have a look around the training facilities and meet some of our current apprentices (http://www.setatraining.co.uk).
To apply, please go to the apprenticeships website: https://www.gov.uk/apply-apprenticeship and search for DP World Southampton. Our advert will appear on the website from November until February for a start date of September. Please note that all applicants will be required to complete an aptitude test held at SETA. Interviews will take place around April / May.
